Shredded coconut is the dried, grated white flesh (meat) of mature coconuts, characterized by long, thin, thread-like pieces. It has a soft, chewy texture and a sweet, nutty tropical flavor. Commonly used in baking and cooking, it adds texture to dishes, is often toasted for a deeper flavour, and is a popular garnish.

In 1962, Said Sidaoui while working multiple jobs ventured into his passion for Lebanese foods. Said as the first person to introduce genuine Middle Eastern foods and ingredients to the Australian market has etched his name into Australian history for generations to come. In 1976, Said's only son Omar, followed in the footsteps of his father to join the family business. Working hard alongside his father and studying his every move saw Omar grow into his role, naturally. Building the brand into the company it is today Omar has began to welcome the third generation, Saeed.
